Bishop Guertin wide receiver Nick Lorden committed to the University of New Hampshire on Monday morning.
Lorden, a Milford resident, took his official visit to UNH last weekend. He also had an offer Bryant University.
'I did like both places very much," Lorden said. "I've been to UNH for indoor track, for the state championship game (football) and it just felt like home."
Lorden, who is 6-3 and weighs 200 pounds, missed most of his junior season with a broken collarbone, but caught 41 passes for 890 yards and 17 touchdowns during his senior season.
UNH quarterback Trevor Knight, an Amherst resident who played at Nashua South, was Lorden's host during his official visit.
"I had a meeting with Coach Mac (UNH coach Sean McDonnell) and my parents (Monday) morning, and he said he still had a scholarship on the table for me," Lorden said. "He told me to take my time, but I told him I didn't need more time. There was an opportunity right in front of me and I took it.
"It was a long process and it took a long time, but everything fell into place for me. I feel like I'm going to the place where I should be."

Derry's Robison transferring to UNH
Update: Robison said Saturday he is finalizing plans to transfer to the University of New Hampshire.

Pinkerton Academy offensive tackle Noah Robison has accepted a scholarship offer from Coastal Carolina, a Division I (FCS) program in Conway, South Carolina. Robison said he gave a verbal commitment to the school last week.
Robison, an 18-year-old Derry resident, was one of the key players on a Pinkerton team that went 12-0 and won the Division I championship last season. He received his scholarship offer during his senior season, and visited Coastal Carolina during the Thanksgiving holiday.
"I checked it out there and fell in love the first time I stepped on campus," Robison said. "They made me feel like family. They showed a lot of interest in me. Showed they wanted me."
Robison, who is 6-foot-6 and weighs 270 pounds, also drew interest from UNH, Stony Brook, Towson and Villanova.
"I think it's a good choice for him," Pinkerton coach Brian O'Reilly said. "They're getting a 6-6, 270 kid who is thin if that can be believed, and very athletic. He has the speed and quickness of a high school tight end. What's not to like about that?
"He's very aggressive. Very aggressive player."
O'Reilly said a shoulder injury that required surgery following Robison's junior season prevented Robison from attending many football camps last summer, and that the exposure from those camps may have led to more scholarship offers.
"I thought he would do a PG (post-graduate) year," O'Reilly said. "If he had done a PG year I think it would be IA situation. I think they found a diamond in the rough."
